The new millennium marked the foundation of Rains’ first company, Five Star Real Estate. He led the company’s expansion and transformation into Five Star Enterprises – a diverse corporation containing subsidiaries. The success of these endeavors gave rise to Rains International Holding Company. His local roots and dedication to historic preservation initiated the start of Charleston’s Exclusive Toast to History, which highlights historical sites throughout the downtown Charleston area for the purpose of promoting efforts for restoration and preservation.

Rains is a reputed educationist and visionary having lectured over twenty-six business courses to future generations within the State of South Carolina. He has worked in the industries of Financial Advisory, Banking, Design, Crisis Management and Business Mentoring. Rains leverages his extensive background and expertise across a wide range of industries.

Born in Charleston, SC, Robert obtained an AB in Marketing at Palmer College in 1970 and then a BC in Business Administration and Economics at College of Charleston in 1976. Robert brings to the table 30 years of experience in the communications industry and over 35 years experience in the real estate industry.

Robert also manages Five Star Enterprises Communications Company. He holds a Broker License with the State of South Carolina and has completed the Graduate Realtor Institute program (GRI). He continues to further his education in the fields of Real Estate, Finance and Communications.

She spent 20 years in the children’s education industry from a kindergarten teacher to an executive responsible for preschools all over the country. She then created a pet sitting business which cares for hundreds of animals when their owners travel. She now realized her third dream, that of helping others find their most prized possession. As a Realtor, Sarah is implementing what it was that made her first two careers so rewarding and so successful.

She is committed to excellence and dedicated in providing the very best possible service to her clients. She does just that, and since 2003 when she made Charleston her home, Sarah has experienced tremendous success. After 25 years in the broadcasting industry, Michael made the move to Real Estate in 2005.

Although you may still occasionally hear his voice on the radio, or see his face on TV, Michael now specializes in helping his clients make smart Real Estate investment decisions based on their individual comfort level, and long term goals.

Michael gets great satisfaction from knowing that he has earned his client’s trust, and looks forward to guiding them through this competitive market. Of course, being a husband and father is also a very important part of Michael’s life. He is very proud of his family, and will show them off whenever he can!

Michael is involved in the community as a member of the local Rotary Club and the Charleston Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a board member for Hospice and volunteers for Water Missions international, Crisis Ministries, Habitat for Humanity and many other local charities in and around Charleston.
